In a low-scoring contest between the Chicago Cubs and the Milwaukee Brewers, 33-year old right-handed pitcher Keury Mella proved to be the difference. The Chicago right-hander earned props for his performance in the 2-0 Cubs win. Chicago bumps their record to 67-71 with the win.

Mella's performance can only be described as masterful. He notched 3 strikeouts in 8 innings while allowing 4 hits. Mella, who finished 5th in the NL in saves with 25 in 2021, goes to 6-8 on the year with 87 strikeouts.

"I tried to mix it up, keep them off balance," said Mella.
