The Toronto Blue Jays defeated the Tampa Bay Rays, 6-3, at Tropicana Field. Leading the charge for Toronto was left fielder Alfredo Salinas. He went 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The loss makes Tampa Bay 74-76.

Jim Weber drove in one run for Toronto. The 24-year old first baseman had a key at-bat in the top of the eighth. With no one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 3-3 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Cristopher Sanchez. It was his 15th RBI of the season.

"Whenever you can come through for your ball club, it's a great thing," said Salinas.
