Rangers Send Houston Home with 3-1 Loss
In a tight tilt between the Texas Rangers and the Houston Astros, Iván Galló was the deciding factor. The Texas right-hander spearheaded the 3-1 win. Lou Green earned his 35th save in 41 chances. The Rangers now have a record of 75-76 with the win over Houston.

Texas used a well-timed hit by Wes Erickson to capture the win. The right fielder socked a run-scoring double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Rangers ahead, 2-1. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"Bottom line," said Houston skipper Manny Acta, "we didn't play well enough to win."
