Blue Jays Deal Kansas City 5-3 Defeat
|
Toronto Blue Jays starter Chris Sale pitched a strong game against the Kansas City Royals at Kauffman Stadium, leading the Blue Jays to victory, 5-3. The winner was Sale. He threw 7.0 innings of 6-hit ball. The loser was Ken Walker. With the win, Toronto pushed its record to 84-70.
It could have been a different outcome for Toronto, had it not been for Josh Morgan, the 29-year old third baseman . Morgan contributed a 2-run single in the top of the second inning to put Toronto up, 3-0.
"Our goal is to improve each and every day," Morgan told the Toronto Chronicle.
