Blue Jays Absorb 8-2 Loss at Kauffman Stadium
Kansas City registered a win at Kauffman Stadium by beating the Toronto Blue Jays, 8-2. Pitcher Kevin Martin was one reason why the Royals triumphed. The win gives Kansas City a season record of 82-73.

Dajabón, Dominican Republic-born Ismaldo Rodriguez came through in the clutch. In the bottom of the seventh, with runners on 2nd and 3rd and the Royals trailing 2-1, he hit a 2-run single to left to put Kansas City on top.

"It was a solid team effort," said Rodriguez after the game.
