Padres Topple Brewers with Late Rally
Jesús Rodríguez pitched a gem to lead San Diego to victory over the Milwaukee Brewers, 2-1. Walker Lockett picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 3-7. Greg Schatz suffered the loss. Domynguos Venegas got the save, his 3rd in 5 chances.

Had Michael Choice not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Choice hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 2-1, in favor of the Padres.

"Whenever we hold the other team to one run," said Padres manager Darin Everson, "I like our chances."

San Diego now sits at 75-82, while Milwaukee falls to 81-76.
