Walk-Off Seals 91st Victory for Brewers
The Milwaukee Brewers outscored the St. Louis Cardinals, 12-10. Among the hitting stars was right fielder Esteban Vázquez. Vázquez, who led the AL in RBI with 118 last year, was 4-5 with a home run, a triple, and 2 singles. He scored 4 times and drove in 3. Milwaukee reliever Greg Schatz snagged the win, upping his record to 3-7. R.J. Alvarez shouldered the loss. With the win, Milwaukee upped its record to 91-70.

The decisive blow was delivered by Jim Smith in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a 2-run home run off 35-year old right-handed pitcher R.J. Alvarez to win the game for Milwaukee. The home crowd went nuts.

"I like the vibe in the clubhouse after a win," said Vázquez. "It sure beats the alternative."
