Milwaukee Downs Cincinnati, 6-4
|
Milwaukee Brewers starter Daryl Scott pitched a strong game against the Cincinnati Reds at Miller Park, leading the Brewers to victory, 6-4. Scott, now 5-6, was the winner. In 8 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 4, walking 2, and allowing 4 runs. The National League Central Division-leading Brewers have a record of 83-78.
Steve Sanders, the 28th overall pick in the 2019 draft, took Cincinnati hurler Steven Matz deep in the bottom of the second. His 2-run home run put the Brewers on top, 2-0. In all, Sanders had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
"Daryl was bobbing and weaving the whole game," said Milwaukee manager Doug Dascenzo.
