The Texas Rangers rode a solid performance from 25-year-old starting pitcher Iván Galló to a win, beating the Philadelphia Phillies, 5-2, at Citizens Bank Park. Galló got the win, improving to 1-0. He gave up 5 hits and walked 2 over 6.1 innings. He allowed 2 runs. Picking up the save was Lou Green, his 1st.
