The Minnesota Twins overcame a good performance by Baltimore left fielder Jon Wilson to knock off Baltimore, 5-4, at Oriole Park at Camden Yards. Wilson slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. The win went to Ezra Schmidt in relief, making him now 1-0. Randy Marte took the loss for Baltimore. Jorge Fajardo picked up the save, his 1st.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Jose Peraza? The Minnesota second baseman had a 2-run double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Twins on top, 4-3. For the game, Peraza had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

Said Baltimore manager Jackson Melian: "They just got the better of us."

The loss makes Baltimore 1-1.
