The Miami Marlins used a great performance from 31-year old right-handed pitcher Al Wills to beat the Chicago White Sox, 3-0, at LoanDepot Park. Dominic Leone picked up the save, his 2nd. The defeat makes Chicago 0-4.

The White Sox had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Marlins going into the bottom of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the former first round draft pick Edgardo Medina came to the plate. Medina hit a 2-run home run on a 0-1 fastball from Chicago hurler Rocky Thompson. It was Medina's 1st home run of the year.

"We've got a great group of guys," Medina said, "and we're having fun right now."
