Padres Win Thriller, 3-2

The San Diego Padres and San Francisco Giants had fans on the edges of their seats.
The San Diego Padres did just enough to sneak past the San Francisco Giants, 3-2, at Petco Park. San Diego pitcher Mayky Perez, in particular, had a standout performance. San Diego pitcher Steve Huff got the win, upping his record to 2-1. Jeremiah Searle got the loss.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when San Diego designated hitter Brit McDonald, facing Chet Greene, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Padres the 3-2 win.
"The crowd was juiced," said Perez.
The Padres, now 3-1, have played some good baseball in the early going.
