The Minnesota Twins knocked off the Chicago White Sox, 8-0, in American League action at Rate Field. Minnesota pitcher and Venezuela, native Adys Portillo had an outstanding performance. Chicago now has a record of 0-4.

Minnesota catcher Francisco Mejia contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the fourth. With two down, he hit a curveball to right field for a run-scoring single. It was his 3rd hit of the season and put the Twins ahead, 1-0.

"Nice to get this one," said Portillo. "Wins have been hard to come by."
