Tim Hankins was nothing short of phenomenal for the Milwaukee Brewers. The 27-year-old left-hander was a big reason his team beat the Tampa Bay Rays, 2-0. Ed Gaines closed it out for his 3rd save. Milwaukee goes to 5-1.
With scoring opportunities rare, the Brewers had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the fourth, when third baseman Steve Sanders hit a run-scoring single. The single came off Kevin Murray and made the score 1-0, Brewers. Sanders was 2 for 4 with 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI.
"Runs were at a premium," said Milwaukee manager Doug Dascenzo.
