Padres Earn Win with Late Rally
|
San Diego parlayed a decent outing from starter Wing-chiu Chin into a solid win over the San Francisco Giants. The final score was 4-3. At 4-2, the Padres have played well so far.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when San Diego center fielder Tim McDaniel, facing Jeremiah Searle, had a run-scoring hit-by-pitch. It gave the Padres the 4-3 win.
"Wing-chiu giving us the start that he did was huge," said San Diego manager Darin Everson.
