The Arizona Diamondbacks picked up a win at Chase Field, knocking off the Atlanta Hammers, 4-1. Starting pitcher Raúl Morán was a big reason why. Jorge Gonzáles closed the door for Arizona, picking up his 2nd save of the year. The loss puts Atlanta at 4-3.

The Diamondbacks got a big at-bat from right fielder José Silva. For the game, Silva went 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the first, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 2nd home run of the season gave Arizona a 2-0 lead.

Morán told a Arizona Citizen reporter that he was "gratified" with the win.
