The San Francisco Giants picked up a win at Minute Maid Park, knocking off the Houston Astros, 6-3. Starting pitcher Ritzi Mendoza was a big reason why. San Francisco goes to 5-1.

San Francisco used a clutch at-bat from Grabiel Jimenez to capture the win. The left fielder hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Giants ahead, 4-0. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"I'm happy we won," said Mendoza. "That's first and foremost. My goal is for the team to win the day I pitch, however it's done."
