The Minnesota Twins and Houston Astros obliged fans hoping for an exciting game.
The Minnesota Twins outlasted the Houston Astros, 7-6, in 11 innings. Stan Jordan provided some punch at the plate for Minnesota. He was 3 for 6 with a double and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. At 5-3, the Twins have played well so far.
The game was decided with two out in the bottom of the 11th. With Minnesota trailing 6-5, Jordan hit a fastball from Jesús Mejía for a 2-run double. In the blink of an eye, the Twins had a walk-off win.
