The Milwaukee Brewers picked up a win at Miller Park, taking down the Cincinnati Reds, 5-3. Starting pitcher Joe Ross was a big reason why. Ross, now 1-1, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 9, walking 0, and allowing 1 run. The defeat makes Cincinnati 4-5.

Tim Campbell had a big run-scoring double for the Brewers in the bottom of the third inning. With Milwaukee leading 2-1 and a runner on 1st, he got a slider from 25-year old right-handed pitcher Bert Gooderston and swatted a double to left-center. It was his 4th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Brewers ahead, 3-1.
