Reds Come Up Short at Milwaukee, 4-3
Milwaukee beat Cincinnati on the strength of starting pitcher Leonardo Miranda's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a win, 4-3. The Brewers raised their record to 8-2.

Milwaukee took a 4-3 lead on Dave Thomas's 2nd double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Thomas hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Cincinnati pitcher Julius Taylor visibly frustrated.

"I like what I saw today," said Milwaukee manager Doug Dascenzo, "and I can't wait to get back out there and do it again."
