Brewers Get Clutch Win Versus Boston
|
In a low-scoring contest, Milwaukee pitcher Tim Hankins was marvelous, enabling his team to nab a 2-1 win. Milwaukee goes to 8-3 with the win.
Milwaukee used a timely hit from Jorge Gutiérrez to get the win. The center fielder stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Brewers ahead, 2-1. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it made an impact.
"Really good pitchers have that ability to raise their game when they need to," said Milwaukee manager Doug Dascenzo.
