The Chicago Cubs topped the Texas Rangers, 4-3, in National League action at Wrigley Field. The standout performance belonged to Chicago pitcher and Olympia, Washington, native Adam Conley. Texas is 4-8 after the defeat.

The Cubs got a big at-bat from shortstop Rob Snyder. For the game, Snyder went 1 for 3 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fourth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 2nd home run of the season gave Chicago a 3-1 lead.
