|
New York starter Darwin Ramos pitched well against the Oakland Athletics at Yankee Stadium. The right-hander led his team to a win, 3-2, in 10 innings. R.J. Alvarez snagged the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits over 2 innings. He's now 1-1 on the season. The Athletics fall to 7-10 and continue their rocky start to the 2026 season.
The decisive blow was delivered by Randy González in the bottom of the tenth when he hit a run-scoring double off 24-year old right-handed pitcher Vito Porchianelo to win the game for New York. The home crowd went nuts.
"I really like what we did out there today," González said after the game.
