Fading Padres Lose 6th Straight
The Athletics grabbed a win, 5-3, at O.co Coliseum, overcoming a fine effort from San Diego pitcher Don Hill. Hill went 6.2 innings and allowed 1 run. Vito Porchianelo recorded the save, his 5th. The Padres fall to 9-11 and continue their sputtering start to the 2026 season.

Oakland took the lead, 5-3, on Walter Rasquin's 2nd home run of the season. The grand slam home run came off San Diego pitcher Kodi Medeiros in the bottom of the eighth.

"We'll take some time to unwind," said Rasquin, "and then get after the next one."
