Hollis Hits 3 home runs in Mariners Win
|
The Seattle Mariners trumped the Toronto Blue Jays, 6-2, at Rogers Centre. Seattle first baseman Bob Hollis was terrific. He slugged 3 home runs. He scored 4 times and drove in 3. The loss drops the Toronto record to a disappointing 9-12.
Seattle grabbed the momentum in the top of the fifth, when Hollis hit a solo home run off Lazaro Leyva. His 5th home run of the season put the Mariners out in front, 3-2.
"We came in and did what we needed to do," said Seattle manager Jeff Banister.
