Riley Lifts Pirates to 8-7 Triumph
Pirates second baseman Chris Riley put his stamp on his team's 8-7 win over the Tampa Bay Rays. Riley was 3-5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 4 for Pittsburgh in the contest. The Rays fall to 9-12 and continue their lackluster start to the 2026 season.

José Pérez chipped in for Pittsburgh, stroking a crucial 2-run single in the bottom of the seventh inning. For the game, the catcher went 1-3 with a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.

"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Pérez said.
