The Toronto Blue Jays licked the Houston Astros, 5-3. Nick Gordon deserved a big chunk of the credit. The shortstop went 2-3 with a home run, a double, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 for the Blue Jays. Trevor Rosenthal, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 7th save. The Astros fall to 8-16 and continue their lackluster start in 2025.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Rob Holt? The Toronto center fielder had a 2-run double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Blue Jays on top, 4-2. For the game, Holt had 1 double and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
