Colorado Nets 3-2 Win Versus Mets
|
The New York Mets and Colorado Rockies provided some drama for the home crowd.
The Colorado Rockies got a good effort from starter Josh Riddle in defeating the New York Mets at Citi Field. The final score was 3-2. Colorado reliever Christopher Acosta picked up the win, upping his record to 2-1. Jesús García took the loss.
The result might have been different, had it not been for 30-year old catcher Deivi Grullon. Grullon had a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Rockies ahead, 3-2. For the game, Grullon had 1 double and 1 single in 3 at-bats.
"We put some tough at-bats on some tough pitches," said Colorado manager Mark Minicozzi.
The loss puts New York at 14-13.
