					| The Los Angeles Angels topped the Minnesota Twins, 5-2, in American League action at Target Field. The game was highlighted by the performance of Los Angeles pitcher Fred Cove. The save went to Héctor Rosado, number 6 for him. Early on, the Angels, at 20-6, have excelled. 
 The Angels got a big at-bat from left fielder Mike Trout. For the game, Trout was 1-2 with a home run and 2 walks, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the first, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run  home run. His 4th home run of the season gave Los Angeles a 2-0 lead.
 
 "Right now, things are falling our way," said Los Angeles manager Mike Scioscia.
