Franco Helps Philadelphia Edge Chicago
Maikel Franco was a major factor in the 4-3 Philadelphia win over Chicago. The Phillies third baseman went 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 3. The victory makes Philadelphia 14-13.

With Philadelphia leading 1-0 in the top of the third, Franco hit a fastball from Nick Travieso for a 2-run double. It was his 5th double of the season and put the Phillies ahead, 3-0.

Philadelphia manager Robby Jenkins was pleased with the team's effort. "Our guys played hard, they played all the way through," he said.
