The Toronto Blue Jays, despite a fine performance by Cleveland pitcher Jim Acosta, grabbed a 3-2 win at Rogers Centre. Acosta allowed 1 run over 7 innings. Wes Poe nailed down the save. With the loss, Cleveland sinks to 13-16.

Toronto took a 3-2 lead on Robbie Miller's 4th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Miller hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Cleveland pitcher Bobby Young visibly frustrated.

After the game, Toronto manager Don Mattingly applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.
