In a low-scoring affair between the Houston Astros and the Texas Rangers, pitcher Kevin Rogers was the difference between victory and defeat. The Houston left-hander earned accolades for his stellar performance in the 2-1 Astros win. Picking up the save was Bob Ramsey, his 1st. Houston, now 10-18, is off to a slow start.

Jeff Lowery had a direct impact on the outcome. Lowery contributed a run-scoring ground out in the top of the fourth inning to put Houston up, 2-1.

"When you are able to locate the ball, good things are going to happen," said Rogers.
