Hitting Streak Still Alive for Campbell

Jim Campbell, catcher for the Vermont Lake Monsters, ran his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20 games with 1 hit in his club's 15-0 victory over the West Virginia Black Bears at Centennial Field.
"Not the outcome we wanted," West Virginia manager Edwin Moreno said. "There's never a good time to lose, and it's never fun to be on the wrong end of somebody else's accomplishment." Jim Campbell grounded out in the 1st, walked in the 4th, grounded out in the 5th, hit a two-run single in the 6th and struck out in the 7th.
This year, Campbell is hitting .310 with 57 hits, 4 home runs, 27 RBIs and has scored 23 runs.
