Tri-City Halts Campbell's Hitting Steak Saturday, August 2nd , 2025 Vermont catcher Jim Campbell experienced something against the Tri-City ValleyCats he hadn't experienced a while: a hitless game. The ValleyCats pitching corps quieted his hot bat and snapped his streak at 24 games, but his teammates picked up the slack to lead the Lake Monsters to a 6-4 victory at Joseph L. Bruno Stadium. "Hey, ain't nothin' bad about a losing a 24-game hitting streak," Campbell joked with reporters after the game. "Now you guys will have to find someone else to bother for stories." This season, Campbell is batting .307 with 33 RBIs, 26 runs scored and 6 home runs. |
