The Math Says - Tri-City Out of Playoffs Monday, August 11th , 2025 Postseason baseball won't be coming to Tri-City this year. The quest for the playoffs ended for the Tri-City ValleyCats today, as they were mathematically eliminated from contention. "Not the first time I've experienced this," said ValleyCats manager Carlos Subero, "but it never gets fun." The ValleyCats have missed the playoffs 8 times in their 11 years as a New York-Penn League franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 5th in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 2020. |
