3-HR Binge for Herrera Against Princeton
Thursday, July 3rd , 2025
Pulaski Yankees left fielder António Herrera had a magnificent game against the Princeton Rays, rocketing three balls out of Calfee Park to help the Yankees win, 8-0.
"I got some good pitches to hit and I creamed them," he said after the game. "The first was a big, fat fastball and the last two were hanging curves. All three were mistakes."
For the game, Herrera went 3-for-5 with 5 RBIs and 3 runs scored.
"There's a fine line between hitting home runs and line drives," Pulaski manager Mike Moustakas said later. "Seems like António found his home run stroke today."
António Herrera hit a solo-shot off Von O'Sullivan in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Von O'Sullivan in the 5th, grounded out in the 6th and hit a three-run home run off Ken Greene in the 8th.
This season, Herrera is hitting at a .300 pace with 3 home runs, 5 RBIs and has scored 6 times.
