Chávez Hit Streak Soars to 20 Games Wednesday, August 13th , 2025 Rubén Chávez's bat has been smoking lately, and it continued today as he went 4-for-5 in his team's 10-0 triumph over the Bristol Pirates at American Legion Field. The 21-year-old right fielder has now hit safely in 20 consecutive games for the Firebirds. Rubén Chávez doubled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, was hit by a pitch in the 5th, grounded out in the 6th and hit an RBI triple in the 8th. For the year, Chávez is batting .425 with 2 home runs, 9 RBIs and 23 runs scored. |
