Johnston Catches up on Yard Work -- Slams 4 Homers

Lonnie Johnston of the Kingsport Mets had a history-making game against the Danville Firebirds, clobbering 4 home runs in an awesome display of power in the 21-6 Mets victory.
The Kingsport second baseman, who is tied for 5th in the APP in home runs with 11, went 4-for-5, had 8 RBIs and scored 4 times in the game.
"There have been a few times when I consciously tried to hit one out," said Johnston later. "It doesn't often work, but it did today for the last one. I guess this day was just meant to be."
Lonnie Johnston hit a three-run home run off Marlon Suggs in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off José Pereira in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Chris Hawkins in the 5th, walked in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off Tommy Peterson in the 8th.
Currently Johnston is batting .242 with 11 home runs, 32 RBIs and 28 runs scored.
