O'Neill Grabs APP Reliever of the Year Sunday, September 21st , 2025 Tim O'Neill said he thinks hitters often underestimate him, as he's only 23 years old. But he'll certainly be getting a lot more respect now, as the Princeton Rays rising star has won the Appalachian League Reliever of the Year for 2025. He captured the award on the strength of his 0.44 ERA over 20.2 innings. He also had 12 saves in 19 relief appearances, 27 strikeouts and only 3 walks. He received 6 first place votes out of a possible 10. Ken Gibson of the Kingsport Mets finished second in voting with 3 first place votes, while Kevin Hicks of the Pulaski Yankees finished third.
