5-for-6 Day for Kramer
Sunday, July 20th , 2025
5 hits in a game has always been a big milestone in baseball -- 5 hits in a game gets a player's name in the record book, win or lose. Jed Kramer got his name recorded today, but the Missoula Osprey picked up the win at Ogren Park at Allegiance Field, topping the Idaho Falls Chukars, 7-6.
"He bushwhacked us," said winning manager Bryan Price. "We were lucky to come out ahead."
Kramer, who is tied for 6th in the PIO in triples with 2, spoke to reporters in the clubhouse following the game, saying his nerves only set in once he was on the cusp of the milestone.
"I got too much adrenaline going when I realized that this could be a once-in-a-lifetime day," the second baseman said. "I think the coaches could tell I was going to be ready to swing at anything close. That's why my third base coach told me to calm down and wait for a good pitch. That got me back on track."
Jed Kramer flied out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, tripled in the 8th and singled in the 10th.
This season, Kramer is batting .336 with 3 home runs. He has scored 12 runs and driven in 21.
