Big Day with Bat: Kramer 5-for-6
Monday, July 21st , 2025
After a 5-hit effort to lead Idaho Falls's 11-2 victory over the Missoula Osprey, second baseman Jed Kramer told BNN beat writers it had been "a special day."
"It really doesn't matter whether it's sandlot ball, high school or college, two hits in a game is nice," he said. "Three or four is better, but five or more is out of sight. And to do that at the Pioneer League-level is really something special."
The 20-year-old player earned his accolades at Ogren Park at Allegiance Field with a spectacular 5-for-6 game against the Osprey.
"His swing is getting there," said Chukars skipper Shane Loux, who spoke glowingly of Kramer after the game. "We want him to be quick with his swing, short and compact. We want him to be patient and go the other way when he can. Jed did that to perfection."
Jed Kramer singled in the 1st, struck out in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off Pete Douglas in the 9th.
Currently Kramer has 4 home runs and a .363 batting average.
