Ogden Wins Round 1
Tuesday, September 23rd , 2025
Many baseball pundits expected a close series in the Pioneer League Round 1. It turned out quite a bit different.
The Ogden Raptors swept aside the Idaho Falls Chukars to advance to the Round 2, winning the final game by a 5-0 score at Melaleuca Field.
The series MVP was center fielder Bob Morris, who hit .308 with a .400 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, drove in 2 RBI and scored 3 runs.
"We expected this series to go right down to the wire, so to sweep is a bit of a surprise," he said. "But we'll take it."
The Ogden Raptors don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Billings Mustangs - Great Falls Voyagers series. That series is tied at 1 game each. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes.
