Ackerman Sensational, 5-for-6 Tuesday, August 26th , 2025 All game long, Tampa Bay (VSL)'s Ben Ackerman was rattling the walls at VSL Cubs Complex and banging out base hits against the Chicago (VSL) Cubs. When the dust finally settled on the diamond, he had a 5-hit day and the Rays had a win, 10-8. Speaking with reporters after his standout performance, the 21-year-old catcher said, "Get 5 hits, win a ballgame, it's nice. I could get used to this." Ben Ackerman struck out in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, singled in the 7th, doubled in the 9th and singled in the 10th.
