Matzek Stops Milwaukee Wednesday, August 20th , 2025 It was not a good day at the plate for the Milwaukee Brewers. They came up empty when it mattered against Chicago Cubs left-hander Tyler Matzek, who scattered 4 hits across 5 innings and held the Brewers scoreless. "We had 4 hits so I know he wasn't completely untouchable, but he was close," Milwaukee manager Doug Dascenzo said later. Matzek chalked up 4 strikeouts and no walks in the 1-0 Cubs win.
