Injury Update for Miami, Leone Tuesday, September 2nd , 2025 Obviously disappointed, Dominic Leone confirmed today that his season is officially over. The Miami closer offered mostly monosyllabic responses to reporters. "Nope," he said, when asked if he might possibly return this year. The 33-year-old Leone suffered radial nerve compression on 09/01/2025 and has been out of action since. Looking at his pitching stats this season, Leone has made 58 relief appearances, pitched 55.1 innings and fashioned a 8-1 record with a 1.30 ERA. He has recorded 31 saves, struck out 47 and allowed opposing clubs to hit .222 when he is on the hill. |
