Washington's Machado Diagnosis Revealed Thursday, September 4th , 2025 Manny Machado will have to wait a while longer. The Washington third baseman was informed this afternoon that he will miss another 4 weeks with a strained back muscle. The injury has kept him off the field since 09/01/2025. Though Machado had hoped to return soon, he has no choice but to be patient. "Gotta stay focused," he said. "Gotta stay positive." At the moment, Machado is batting .320 with 15 home runs and 67 RBIs. He has played in 103 games and scored 62 times. |
