Mets Out of Time, Out of Playoffs Monday, September 15th , 2025 The playoff hopes of the New York Mets -- which were already faint at best -- are now completely extinguished. The team will miss the playoffs this year, being mathematically eliminated from contention today. New York last appeared in the postseason in 2017. This is their 8th consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 56 times in their 64-year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Mets have only made the playoffs once. New York last won the World Series in 1986. |
