It's Official: Washington Clinches Playoff Spot Sunday, September 28th , 2025 It wasn't quick or easy for the Washington Nationals, but they have clinched a berth in the postseason. While they couldn't capture the National League East Division crown, the club has cinched up a wild card berth late in the season. "You come close to not getting a chance in the postseason and it starts to worry you," said catcher Oscar Hernandez. "This is a huge relief for our guys and we're going to celebrate it." The team will be looking for its 2nd Major League Baseball championship. |
