Los Angeles Takes League Divisional Series Wednesday, October 8th , 2025 McKenzie Mills paused momentarily when asked what it means to him to be named MVP of the League Divisional Series. "It means we're one step closer to winning the World Series, as they normally don't give this to players on the losing team," he said with a smile. "I do feel fortunate to win the award though, I had a lot of fun out there." Mills made his comments only moments after his Los Angeles Angels had knocked out the Toronto Blue Jays to advance to the League Championship Series. Los Angeles won the final game by a 5-0 count at Rogers Centre and clinched the series 3-1. Mills had a 0.00 ERA over 9 innings pitched, with 5 strikeouts and a 1-0 record. The Los Angeles Angels will play against the Boston Red Sox in the next round. Boston won their series against the Kansas City Royals 3 games to 1.
