Franco Selected NL's Best Player Saturday, November 15th , 2025 What a way to finish off the year -- being honored with the 2025 Most Valuable Player Award in the National League. It had already been a very special season for Philadelphia's Maikel Franco, but today's announcement really put the icing on his cake. All season long Maikel Franco gave opposing pitchers fits by hitting .310 as he collected 185 hits, 45 doubles, 1 triple, 40 home runs and 123 RBIs. He received 30 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Alan O'Keefe of the Miami Marlins finished second in voting, while Derek Briggs of the Arizona Diamondbacks finished third.
